Since graduating from the Slade School of Fine Art BA and MFA in 2011 and 2013 respectively, MartinePoppe has been living and working in London and Oslo. Poppe’s recent solo shows include Zima Blue(Berlin, 2020) and Waiting for Y at Kristin Hjellegjerde Gallery (London, 2019) and Portraits of trees at Trafo Kunsthall (Norway, 2018-2019). Recent group exhibitions include Sorgenfri Skulpturpark (Oslo, 2020), Enter Art Fair with Kristin Hjellegjerde (Copenhagen, 2019), Artist Rooms with Encounter Contemporary at Copeland Gallery and Artmonte Carlo (Monte Carlo, 2019), ALAC (Los Angeles, 2019) and LISTE (Basel, 2018) with VI, VII and Slippage at Post_Institute (London, 2018) as well as Studio Spring at the CCA Kunsthalle (Majorca, 2018).
Other exhibitions and art fairs include UNTITLED San Francisco (2017), Brussels Art Fair (2018 and 2017) with Kristin Hjellegjerde Gallery, S|2 x SF at Sotheby’s (San Francisco, 2015), Sunset© at Hooper Projects (Los Angeles, 2015), and New Order II: British Art Today at the Saatchi Gallery (London, 2014). Poppe has also ben an artist in residence at Cité Internationale des Arts (Paris, 2019), Benetton Foundation/Regione Veneto (Italy, 2019), Banff Centre (Canada, 2018), CCA Andratx (Majorca, 2017) and Hooper Projects (Los Angeles, 2015). Poppe’s works can be found in the collections of the UK Government Art Collection (UK), NRK (Norway), the Saatchi Collection (UK), University College London (UK), Oxford University (UK), CCA Andratx (Spain), House of St. Barnabas (UK) and KODE Museums (Norway) amongst others.
